Polystick can be used in 2 different ways:
1. As an embroidery stabilizer, particularly for hard to hoop items (ie, socks, cuffs of garments or collars etc).
=> To use you simply cut a sheet large enough to use in your hoop. Once hooped with silicone paper side up, you score the silicone paper, peel it back and then place your item to be embroidered onto the Polystick. Embroider as usual and then tear Polystick away from the design. Polystick is designed to partially wash away.
2. For applique, Polyestick can be put through your inkjet printer to transfer your shapes or you can trace your shapes onto the Polyestick.
=> Once you have your design on the Polystick, you cut out the shape. (Polystick can be put through some of the cutting machines that are currently on the market.)
=> To use you cut your fabric about 6mm larger than the shape, peel off the silicone paper and turn the 6mm allowance onto the sticky side.
=> Once you have done that you can then place your applique piece in the desired spot on your project and stitch around it.
We charge a flat rate of $17.00 except for 100cm x 100m backing rolls. We increase the flat rate without notifying our customers when Australia Post increases postage charges
Most of our orders weigh 1 – 3kg and our flat rate is based on what Australia Post charges us for 1 – 3kg.
We refund the difference if the freight costs less than the flat rate.
If it is safe to do so and if you give us an instruction to leave goods at your door or somewhere safe (preferably where it is not visible from the street), we have options to find the best freight cost rate (either Courier or Post service).
